WILLOW

This painting is an expression of my feelings towards nature and the passage of time. I wanted to capture the elegance of the weeping willow, a tree that, for me, symbolizes melancholy, but also resilience. Each brushstroke and each layer of color applied with the palette knife were chosen to reproduce the rich texture of the trunk and the delicacy of the branches that descend like strands of gold and green.

The background is vague, diffuse, because I wanted to create a contrast between the details of the willow and the world around it, as if this tree existed in a special space, in a corner of the soul. The patch of blue in the background adds depth, suggesting the sky or perhaps a calm water, and the tones of red at the base are accents of life, reminding us that every melancholy also has a trace of rebirth in it.

For me, this painting is more than just a landscape—it's a state of mind, a memory of a place where my soul found peace.
