I painted this sunflower in a moment of explosive energy, letting myself be carried away by the vibration of colors and the instinctive movement of the brush. I wanted to capture not just the shape, but the life force of this flower — a flower that bends, perhaps from weight, perhaps from the wind, yet remains strong in its intensity.

The thick textures, applied in impasto, were intentional to give volume and vibration to the surface, while the contrast between the warm yellows of the petals and the blue-violet background deepens the experience of light and shadow, hope and transience. This is not a smiling sunflower like the ones in children's books — it lives, it struggles, it endures — and that is exactly what makes it alive.
